Route Description
This trail begins by following the Church Field boundary before ascending into the mixed woodland of Plantation Wood with its canopy of beech, oak, ash and sycamore and an understory of holly, hazel, elder and willow. The trail returns by weaving its way through the native oak trees in Million Tree Wood.
Take a rest and enjoy the panoramic views of the rolling hills surrounding Seaforde Demesne and village and beyond to Slieve Croob. On a clear day, you will see the Mourne Mountains, the Irish Sea and coastline between Dundrum Bay and St. John's Point.
Please note that due to steps and some steep sections, this trail is unsuitable for bicycles, those with use mobility aids and most pushchairs.
