
Ballyronan Wood Walk
Ballyronan wood is a beautiful walk through a small 5 acre wet woodland on the shores of Lough Neagh.
The area boasts a wealth of wildlife easily viewed from the woodland path, such as mute swan, whooper swan, bewick swan, great crested grebes and tufted duck.

Route Description
Start from Ballyronan Marina Car park and head in the direction of the caravan park at the north of the site. Located at the entrance to the caravan park is the Ballyronan Wood Sign.
Follow the yellow way markers on a circular path along the Lough Shore past picnic areas.
The return leg of the walk is via a woodland trail that leads back around to the start/finish point at the caravan park.

Getting to the Start (by Car)
From Cookstown take the B73 to Coagh. From Coagh Village continue along the B160 into Ballyronan. The Marina is situated on the right hand side, on the shores of Lough Neagh. (Approximately 12 miles from Cookstown).
Facilities
Facilities include a picnic site, caravan and camping, marina, childrens play area and toilets.
